Uniform

Blazer (from Motif8)

Black with school badge pre-embroidered on blazer pocket. The addition of a blazer will give a smarter look to the uniform overall, will dispense with the need for a coat for part of the year, and will enable pupils to carry valuables securely. Good quality polyester, machine washable.

Approx cost: £25 - £32 depending on size

Tie – (from Motif8)

Green, clip-on tie with stripe in house colour

Approx cost: £5.50

Blouse/Shirt – (from supermarkets etc.)

White school shirt or school blouse, either long or short sleeved

Approximate cost – from £2.50 each.

Trousers: - (from supermarkets etc.)

Black school trousers as currently worn.  Trousers are to be plain, straight legged, not tight and without decoration or chains etc.  No black jeans or combat style trousers.  Fashion belts are not to be worn on school trousers. 

Costs vary enormously but can be obtained from £5.00 upwards.

Skirts

Black school skirts can be worn and are an option for girls.  Skirts can only be purchased from Motif8 with the school badge pre-embroidered  on the bottom of the skirt.

For Food Technology: - An apron, casserole dish, biscuit tin and bag suitable for carrying dishes home are required.
For Art : - Some kind of protective garment, e.g. old shirt.
For Design & Technology : - An apron.

The Wearing of Jewellery


The only jewellery allowed in school is a wristwatch. The school does not accept responsibility for the loss of jewellery It is not to be brought to school.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones, ipods, MP3 players etc. will be confiscated if switched on in school and only returned to a parent if signed for. The school does not accept responsibility for the loss of such items.

School Equipment

All pupils should have the following equipment:

2 blue or black pens, pencil, ruler, rubber, pencil sharpener, calculator, coloured pencils and dictionary.
Tippex fluid and similar are not allowed in school.

ALL PUPILS SHOULD HAVE A HAVERSACK OR BAG SUITABLE FOR CARRYING BOOKS.
